This page now treats Form 3 as a panel-mount context: front flange, control panel and centre-back process connection around a connected qualitative Bourdon movement. The worksheet reports only declared dial mapping and full-span class arithmetic.
Panel-Mounted Gauge Indication Explorer
Enter declared pressure, zero-to-full-scale range, accuracy class and pointer sweep. The connected view shows front flange, panel, centre-back connection, Bourdon tube, link, sector, pinion and pointer without inventing tube travel or calibration performance.
Equation Used
- The declared scale runs from zero to full scale FS.
- Pointer mapping is declared linear over sweep S and clamped to the visible scale.
- Accuracy class C is treated as a uniform percent-of-span limit only for this ledger.
- The front flange, control panel and centre-back connection are mounting context, not entered dimensional design data.
- The animation is a prescribed qualitative Bourdon-tip and movement chain; it does not solve tube elasticity or calibrate the linkage.
- Pressure element and mounting dimensions, hysteresis, friction, backlash, temperature, pulsation, vibration, overpressure, media compatibility, fatigue, installation, calibration state, uncertainty, selection, maintenance and safety are excluded.
Recasts Form 3 as documented panel-mount context and removes unsupported universal tip-travel, operating, fatigue and installation claims.
A panel-mount arrangement surrounds the pressure movement
Manufacturer documentation shows control-panel gauges with a front mounting flange or bezel and a back process connection. In documented Bourdon versions, measuring-element deflection is transmitted through a movement to the pointer.
The animation keeps the centre-back connection, Bourdon tube tip, link, sector, pinion and pointer connected inside a front-flange panel context. Its motion is prescribed, not a deformation or calibration solution.
Use this page only to audit declared indication arithmetic
The worksheet checks a declared zero-to-full-scale linear pointer mapping and converts a declared uniform percent-of-span class into an absolute pressure limit.
It cannot specify a panel cut-out, select or calibrate a gauge, certify installation or determine process suitability or safety.
Keep indication arithmetic separate from mounting and calibration
Mounting dimensions and the applicable class convention must come from the selected instrument data sheet.
A transparent declared-scale example
For P=200 bar on a 0–200 bar declared scale with a 270-degree sweep, the pointer mapping is 270.0 degrees. A declared class 1.00 percent of span gives an arithmetic limit of ±2.000 bar and a clipped indicated interval from 198.000 to 200.000 bar.
This does not size a panel cut-out or certify the gauge.
Panel format and class do not establish complete performance
A real instrument assessment needs the exact model, sensing element, range, case and mounting dimensions, process connection, environmental rating, reference conditions, error distribution, hysteresis, friction, temperature effects, pulsation, vibration and calibration state.
The former universal tip travel, operating window, fatigue, calibration diagnosis, installation time, service claims and named deployment example are removed because they were not established for one documented instrument.
Panel-mounted gauge ledger questions
Does Form 3 determine the sensing element?
No. This page treats it as a mounting context and identifies the shown Bourdon movement explicitly.
Does this calculate panel cut-out dimensions?
No; use the selected model data sheet.
Is the class limit a calibration result?
No.
Can this select a safety-critical gauge?
No.
