Linear Actuator Kit

What is included in a Linear Actuator Kit?

We get many people asking for a Linear Actuator Kit so we thought we would put together some different options for an Actuator kit. The main components that come in the Kit are the Linear Actuators, some for of attaching them (Brackets). Some type of controls (switch) and a form of power supply.

When it comes to Controlling the Linear Actuators, there are endless options and each option is typically application specific, or user preferred. For example some people want a manual switch and others prefer a remote wireless control in their Linear Actuator Kit.

Secondly there are dozens of type of Linear Actuators to choose from, and for every Actuator you then have the further complication of deciding which Stroke length, which speed and force option and even the type of voltage you require, such as 12vdc or 24vdc.

Option 1 - Classic Linear Actuators Kit - Basic kit

This kit includes the classic line of Linear Actuators, a Manual rocker switch, and 2 Linear Actuator Brackets, a power supply (12v dc). This kit is about as basic as you can get and is perhaps the bare minimum you would require to get going with just about any Linear Actuator application.

Option 2 -  Premium Linear Actuators Kit - Basic kit

This kit is the same as Option 1, however this kit uses the more robust Premium Linear Actuator with more force options. Kit includes: Premium line of Linear Actuators, a Manual rocker switch, two Linear Actuator Brackets, a power supply (12v dc).

Option 3 - Classic Linear Actuators Kit - wireless kit

This kit is a more advanced version of Kit 1, but substitutes the rocker switch for a 2-chanel remote control option for wireless control of the linear actuator. This kit also includes a EL-KIT which gives you additional benefits such as been able to install an external limit switch that gives you the flexibility to automatically stop the Actuator at a position other than where the internal limit switches are within the Linear Actuator. For example if you buy a 12" stroke linear actuator but you really want 11" stroke. All you need is an external limit switch to convert the actuator to an 11" stroke.   Here is also a link on how to install this. How to install an external limit switch in a linear actuator

Option 4 -  Premium Linear Actuators Kit - advanced kit

This kit is a more advanced version of Kit 2, but substitutes the rocker-switch for a wireless remote control option for wireless control of the linear actuators. This kit also includes a EL-KIT which gives you additional benefits such as been able to install an external limit switch that gives you the flexibility to automatically stop the Actuator at a position other than where the internal limit switches are within the Linear Actuator. For example if you buy a 18" stroke linear actuator but you really want 17" stroke. All you need is an external limit switch to convert the actuator to an 11" stroke.   Here is also a link on how to install this. How to install an external limit switch in a linear actuator

    Linear Actuator Kit 4

There are many other variants that could be included in a kit, such as adding different bracket types, and different controller options such as a micro-controller like an Arduino controller but this would be for a more complex application if automated controllers would be required
