Linear Slide rails and drawer slides are very similar in what they achieve, however they are two very different products with very different features and specifications, we, therefore, created separate Blog sections so they don't get confused but there certainly is some cross over between the two types of linear sliding motion. They both create smooth sliding linear motion, but Slide rails are far more versatile and allow you do a lot more with them and also hold a lot more weight. Drawer slides are far more common and are typically known to be used in cabinets for drawers. However, Slide rails are different in that they have something called a "Carriage" that slides freely up and down a length of the slide.
