These 1000 lb. Heavy Duty Rod Linear Actuators use a worm gear drive mechanism which means they are very quiet and offer a high efficiency as a result.
The Heavy Duty line was developed with high standards in mind. Our clients demand the best quality and performance for their money, inspiring us to come up with such a rugged design. This versatile unit features an aluminum shaft to shed weight, internal limit switches, an aluminum alloy inner tube, as well as a high performance 24 volt DC motor which is capable of producing 1000 lbs. of force.
No matter your application, installation doesn’t need to be a hassle. Required components consist of just two brackets, one for either side, with quick release pins for easy fitment and set-up. Controlling the unit is just as easy via a 2-wire system, making this unit a ‘plug and play’ type accession unique to Firgelli Automations.
*Due to the drive gearing method, this actuator will back drive under higher loads with no power applied to the actuator. Using a gas spring of the correct rating will alleviate the back drive. Another possibility is to use a relay in SPDT to work as a back-emf brake. See this tutorial for more information
