Museum of Discovery - Room to Grow Dragon

The actuator will be in a Dragon head and along with a Digital Repeater and a Door Bell. The eyes of the dragon will open and close. While closed the dragon will be sleeping and snoring. When the dragon is awakened he will talk to the kids and welcome them in to room to grow.

The dragon was made at the Museum of Discovery (Little Rock Arkansas) by Robin Tucker an artist, Frank Thompson doing the electrical and the digital repeater work.

Senior Project - Computer Controlled Digger

Nelson Bartosiewicz and his team mates (Devry University, Columbus OH) controlled the three linear actuators using a custom H-Bridge ciruit controlled by the PC parallel port and VB6 code.

360º HD Video Robot

Remote controlled mobile video robot. Joe Brown, Jasen Murphy, and Kevin Hjelden.

Actuator controlled with a motor controller from Bane Bots. The robot has a laptop which received UDP commands over a wifi network connection. The laptop sends the commands to a serial servo controller which interfaces with the linear actuator using the motor controller from Bane Bots. All software written in C#

Self-Leveling Cart

Auto Leveling Cart by Timmy Hoang and his class mates using some custom electronics and controller to build a platform on a cart that keeps itself level. They used the 18" stroke tubular actuator FA-04-12-18"
